Care for the Sick in Early Christianity: Lessons for the Current COVID-19 Stricken Church

Debates on whether early Christians relied solely exorcism and other miraculous healing under the assumption that all diseases are a result of demonic activity, continue. On one end this scholarly continuum those who hold only approached disease as purely spiritual phenomena (hence, focusing kinds healing), while, end, others have argued accepted naturalistic view causes for and, consequently, sought solutions to diseases. However, like in many areas life thought Christianity, there is truth both these contentions. Rather than choose sides debate, paper will argue that, just areas, chose modified existing approaches sickness death based their understanding scriptural teachings subjects.
